Thanks everyone. It was a challenging trailing job, but worth it if you are able to recover the animal. I have had two other challenging trailing jobs for other shooters and those did not result in our recovering the animal. We grilled the heart and the tenderloins, my favorite piece of meat from a deer (see what's cooking thread).
