dan hufferd Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Nothing on the spoon. All caught with the dropshot 30 to 50+ feet of water. Note to self...use plenty of weight when windy so you don't wrap your line in the trolling motor. terryj1024, Johnsfolly, blacknoseddace and 4 others 7
Members Hickabilly Posted November 12, 2017 Members Posted November 12, 2017 I had a decent day yesterday. Caught a few Crappie and these two walleye back to back on different rods while trolling flicker shad. However, I caught them in 10 feet of water not 50. Can’t even imagine fishing in water that deep. I did buy some Binks spoons on my way there. But I really have no idea how to use them, lol. Johnsfolly, dan hufferd and terryj1024 3

I needed to practice my winter crappie technique. I am not very good at it. Suspended fish are tough for me. I know that is where the big girls go. I just have to find them Hickabilly, Johnsfolly and blacknoseddace 3
blacknoseddace Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Line in the trolling motor can be a rude awakening if it gets you by surprise, and it usually does. Been there done that! Hickabilly, terryj1024 and dan hufferd 2 1

Been there done that! It's even more fun when the wind is blowing 15 mph and you are near a bluff ! Your thinking..now what? Johnsfolly, Hickabilly and blacknoseddace 3

How about the pucker factor when you are in a major inlet on a falling tide, ripping past the jetty, headed into 4 to 6 foot standing waves, and then out to the ocean and the engine won't start. Then your host wonders why you don't go fishing with him again since this happens evert time he goes out. dan hufferd and blacknoseddace 2

Did get a couple of shot opportunities but didn't pull the trigger. Fried crappie sounds really good right now! Hickabilly, Mitch f and dan hufferd 3
Members livingtofish Posted November 12, 2017 Members Posted November 12, 2017 Was down last week and also caught some nice crappie and a walleye. Fish are scattered at different depths so I guess the lake has turned over? Caught crappie out of piles at 19ft, 25ft and had several at 36ft. The walleye was caught about 20. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason other than the shad are scattered as well. Great time to be on the lake, saw less than 10 boats all day and several eagles. dan hufferd, terryj1024 and wtr dogs 3
