I remember seeing true Herds of Deer and Flocks of Turkeys. Haven't seen either for years. oneshot Don’t let one little area determine the population as a whole. We dodge deer and see turkeys every day twice a day. Populations ebb and flow. EHD is rough on a spot for a couple years then there they are. Same with hatching conditions for turkey.
jdmidwest Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 I fish TN and catch big smallies all of the time. Big water, good forage seem to be the key. Pressure is strong there also and they get fried often by others. But they survive, multiply, and grow to decent size. I am sure they could do the same here. They used to in several streams before somebody dumped trout in to compete with them and choke them out. Lol, One reason they're down for them German Baptist is because more and more are putting slow moveing signs on their buggies. The smart ones have flashing lights. Thursday night are their Singings and I went to the farm at 2:30 am Friday morning once and counted 14 horse and buggies with nothing more than a candle in a lantern. Black buggy no moon, man I was upon the 1st before I knew it.
tjm Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Do you be careful out there TA , if a horse comes through the windshield it can bleed about 5 gallons all over your upholstery and fill the floor pans. Chevy ain't worth much after that. Don't know what kinda damage a surrey would do. 0230, musta been a good singin.
