Does anyone else have an issue with the brake dial turning during a retrieve? I love the reels, and usually have my brakes set between 6 and 10. I'll look down after a dozen casts and notice I've moved up to 14 or 16 on the 20 scale. Tatula's are all I throw, have a dozen of them and this has never happened. I'm guessing your hand is in contact with that side plate during the cast, and your turning it without knowing it.
Members jte54 Posted January 26, 2018 Members Posted January 26, 2018 The rod he talks about here is one of the best feeling jerkbait rods I've ever picked up. Only time I use a spinning rod is when throwing a lighter bait or it so cold the guides freeze up bad enough to annoy me.

Both on the full frame and CT's. I notice it way more with gloves on; just the way that I palm the reel.
Larry Eby Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Personally for me a spinning pole for JB. In/out of a windy point into the wind. Rogues, Vision, LC etc. If you use a spinning pole often enough, you’ll know how to minimize line twist and how to correct it.
