Members Lonnie Morgan Posted January 26, 2018 Members Posted January 26, 2018 I have been reading. Didnt think I could, did you! Which is it? Do eyes go to skinny water to warm up, or do they go deep to avoid tbe sun lite?
grizwilson Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Skinny in spring to spawn, “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
MOPanfisher Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 And they usually hit that shallower water at sundown. Not to say that there can't be some around anytime but sundown is the magic time usually. Temp and daylight also play into it but more of a trigger for the spawn. Fish24/7 Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 if it's really windy I've caught them in less than 3' in clear water, bright sun in Feb. A heavy overcast , no sun whatsoever, calm winter day that feels like it could snow/rain any minute are my favorite days to catch them shallow. They may not be on/near the bank but they will be shallow and looking for cranks and suspending minnows dan hufferd 1
