nhornback Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 My wife and i purchased and remodeled my grandparents home in the second half of 2017 and we are officially moved in! The home sits backed up to the James east of town, and we couldnt be happier. It was a lot of work (full gut remodel) but well worth it! The best part, bar none, is the river access! While it is quite a hike, it is manageable with a rod and backpack. Hiked down late afternoon friday and finally got to fish the river instead of just working on the house. I am so lucky to have this in my backyard! Attached are pics of my day - for January, I'll take it! Pics wouldnt all load, so they are in next post Daryk Campbell Sr, tho1mas, terryj1024 and 6 others 9

TroutRinger Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Life goals! Living the dream. "Of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy." "There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot."
nhornback Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 Feels like a dream. Fyi both those fish came on 2/0 shaky head with a little TRD in green pumpkin glued on. Killer river bait for smallies Johnsfolly 1
Flysmallie Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Well I’m very jealous of that. And you are right about that bait. That’s a hard section to get on and doesn’t get much traffic. Should be lots of good fishing. Bass Yakker 1
