Hmmmm.   Does your motor have a 3 or 4 bladed prop?  My 60 had 3 bladed anemic Bass Pro Shop special on it, wouldn't pull a sick 90 yo woman off a pot.  Mercury makes a 4 bladed Spitfire prop.  They make claims like on plane in 4 seconds, 1 or 2 mph faster, won't blow out on steep turns.  Bought one.  BELIEVE THEM.  Best $120 I've spent on that boat, cept for the really cushy seat I bought for the wife that puts her right to sleep.   Silence is golden.  Regards to the better half.

Yeah.  Kidding, of course.  Saw something on youtube about guys blaming the wife on prop damage...

I got up against the east end of the rock face at the dam.  There should be a marker there!  Man that happened fast.

2nd time on the lake.  Still no fish to show for it!

Got one blade.  Very fixable.  Figure would buy a new one and fix that one for next time.    Thanks for the advice.  Looks like Fair Grove is my closest bet.

You take a ribbing good JC.  The dam do got some BIG rocks.  We'll have to wet a hook sometime and you can see how quickly the spitfire planes out.

Hey I got no ego left!   You could show me where to throw the hook.  Been a long time an I have never winter fished.  Reminds me.  Need another excuse for when it warms up...

Amazon has the Spitfires for $147....Don't even know what pitch I have.  Waiting for the ice to melt off of it.

When did Bass Pro start making props?

Don't think  they MAKE anything,, but the original prop off my Mercury 60 4 stroke which came on a Tracker Super Guide was stamped BPS , could mean burp puke and sputter  but kinda think it was produced for them.. It was anemic., especially when compared to Merc's Spitfire 4 blade.
