MrGiggles Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 I decided to go to Pomme last night. Caught 3. Water was 8ft high and stained. Could not pin them down to one spot, lots of fish on the sonar but they moved on quick. Sure wasn't like it was, before the rain I could load the boat with 10" crappie cast after cast. What is the water temperature at Stockton? Pomme had warmed up to 43 already. -Austin

Members Moflash Posted February 26, 2018 Members Posted February 26, 2018 Sunday I fished from State park Marina to the dam and surface temps were 38.5 to 40 degrees
liphunter Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Went today. Fished mostly the Ruark West area up Sons creek . Seen temperatures from 42 up to 46. Depending on where I was and the time of day. It was like fishing in chunky milk chocolate. I'm not the best at it. Still learning tons. But pretty much got the big zilch today. But it was better than working. And it was a beautiful day. Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???

liphunter Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 In those little coves. it was actually pretty clear. But the main channel was pretty colored. I never threw a spinner bait today. Might have done the trick. But tried some other things. No Joy. Good luck. Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
Dutch Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I can't get them to hit a spinner bait in colder than 50° water.
