Aarchdale and i put in at Masters at 6:45. Overcast with lite wind. We tried the point to the left with nothing. Moved across the lake and i picked up 2 keepers on a jerkbait. 3 hours went by before Andy caught 2 keeps a few minutes apart. Another 30 minutes and we rounded a point and i caught 2 more keeps pretty quick. About 75 yards down we lit them up. I caught 4 keepers on 4 casts. That turned into a double minutes later for us.

Off the water at 12:30.  Ned, SB, crank, jig. All fish came on the JB.  We ended up with 19 fish total with 16 keepers.  Far better than i had expected.

Sounds like a great day to me!

Great day especially for quitting at 12:30.  I think quitting that early when the fish were biting would have killed me.

What were the water temps up that way?

Our bellys were growling, so we opted to head to the eatery.   South side clear water was 43-44.  North side directly across was stained and 47-49

We only traveled 1/4 mile from the ramp. The water in that 1/4 mile area was night and day color difference. All fish came in the clear water.

IT was a fun day, As much as i hate to say this i did watch a megabass outfish my RC sticks.  Kinda stung a little, I caught plenty but Jerry's Megabass was pretty hot

I exclusively fish Megabass.  I bought a couple of the RC sticks when they first came out because they were identical looking to the Megabass.  I tied on a Megabass in Pro Blue and an RC stick in Pro Blue.  I would alternate between the two.  The fish weren't in a jerk bait mood so I really couldn't compare the two with one out fishing the other, but what I did notice was that the RC stick didn't dart and dive like the Megabass.  They would just kind of pull through the water.  I haven't used the RC stick since.  I have a bunch of Lucky Craft Pointers too, but I just have confidence in the Megabass 110 and 110+1.

Have any of you guys tried the megabass knock offs? I’ve been thinking about ordering a few blanks and painting them myself but if they’re not somewhat comparable to the real 110’s then I don’t want to waste my money..

My first 2 fish came on an Academy H2O jerkbait. I only switched for a color change. Im sure that would do just fine BF.
