oneshot Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Got over to Pomme de Terre about daylight . Had 5 Rods out for Catfish baited with Stink Bait, Liver and Live Bluegill. And had one Rod with just Worm for Bluegill, caught 3. Fished until 1PM so not so good but I think the water is still cold. Would have been better after Crappie. Decided to go Mushroom hunting. Lately I have found things have changed. Dry Wall is heavier then today I was going to walk around two fields. Well the first field they had to have made it bigger because I got half way and had to rest and was very glad to get back to the Pickup. Didn't find any Mushrooms. 😥 oneshot Daryk Campbell Sr, Alaskageek and zarraspook 3
Ketchup Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 The older we get, the farther things appear to be while out venturing. As a kid, a bike ride around the town would turn into 20 miles. That 20 miles today would feel like 40. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
oneshot Posted May 2, 2018 Author Posted May 2, 2018 Well when I was 30 I jogged 30+ miles a week, lifted Weights and was active in Karate. I was Operated on 5 years ago and was told by the Surgeon not to do anything for a year but I went on a hunt couple months later in the mountains got a Hernia out of the deal plus gained weight. Was working on my weight with diet and the Gym then got down again. Was down for two months gained the weight I had lost back. Back to diet and Gym lost half of it and still working on it. But haven't really been out walking since this time. My wife says I'm just getting older slow down. oneshot
Members cmoore03 Posted May 3, 2018 Members Posted May 3, 2018 Sorry to inform but you have definitely entered the age of slow walking and soft music. I got there a couple years ago, don't like it but helpless o change anything. Just smile when you look back on the good times. CM
MOPanfisher Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Not only do.distances get further, things get heavier. Been working on a friend's house in the evenings, used to be able to do it all day long, now a couple few hours in the evening is more than enough to wear me out, stamina never came completely back after my medical drama. Fishing isn't too bad, except for a heel spur. standing in the boat in soft bottom shoes really makes it fire up. But if fishing is good, just pop a couple tylenol and wear better shoes during the day. Foot doctor can wait until after fishing season.
Members Emilya Posted May 3, 2018 Members Posted May 3, 2018 Hi, I'm a newbie here and I'm just starting to hunt a mushroom for a little while I search in diff places now because I need this for medical purposes and I read an article http://www.trufflemagic.com/blog/magic-mushrooms-illness-and-anxiety/ that there is a lot of a different kind of mushroom and you can grow it in your own house but am looking for some that can help me to cure my anxiety. One of my friends suggested trying the truffle mushroom. So do you have any suggestion if this kind of mushroom will help me or no?
oneshot Posted May 3, 2018 Author Posted May 3, 2018 Well thinking of Deer season. My wife says P on everyone, walk, take a break, walk, take a break. Had a Good Walking Stick but my Son burnt it. Didn't go out but got one Road Kill, one Neighbor gave me one and got one hung in a Fence, so had plenty of Deer but more fun Hunting. Thought about buying my own place but have the Payments my wife says we're getting too old to think about buying property. Have a Cabin next to COE Land at Truman Lake she says that is enough. Got plenty of places at Truman Lake I can drive right up to the water. oneshot Krazo 1
