Open Buddy Bass Tournament

I know the guys that took 4th and they culled through 40+ keepers.  Shrapnel culled through 20+ keepers.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place guys likely did the same. That is a lot of relocated fish for just one little derby.   Then add in all the others from 5th place on down....

I hate to be a jerk but do y'all really not care?  I know MDC doesn't and I'm not surprised, but I am surprised that the guys that I know just keep doing this.   It aint like there's any real money to be made !  The 4th place guys didn't even make enough to buy a decent reel.   

Congrats on your success and all, But C'mon you guys, please start pushing for changes in the scoring format.. ..Or at least openly admit that YEAH THIS IS STUPID, BUT WE'RE GONNA KEEP DOING IT ANYWAY.  🙄

I’m on board with changing the scoring. I think the kayak guys have it figured out with the scoring app they use on their phones.

There was a Kayak guy caught cheating, he had a cut tail he would use to make the fish look longer on the measuring stick when he took the picture.

I figured that you would be.  And I think they do too.

I'm kinda anxious to get back into competitive fishing but I've pretty much vowed to refrain until a better method of scoring that doesn't involve taking fish from their homes is adopted.

Yep. Much easier to catch than a bass that ate some egg weights. Did you see those pics? What a retard he was.

I fished this weekend with a guy who fishes the kayak tournaments regularly and he said that with the bigger circuits you are only allowed to have one hand on the gill plate and that is all. That guys fish didn’t even look right  I understand they let him get away with it for a while to allow him enough rope to hang himself with. 

Wrench, when and if you ever decide to go fish a derby just holler and you’ve got a partner.

We don't need a derby though, all we need is a day with no school or broken boats.  😉
