PAT92B Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 What's a good way to store spinnerbaits and buzzbaits I've been using a big square Plano spinnerbait box were they hang from notches. I don't like this because once you pull one out another comes with it then getting them back in place neatly is a pain. I've been looking at the Bass Mafia Blade box has anyone tried this box it $50 kinda pricey looks like a good idea.
fishinwrench Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Hobby Lobby has heavy duty ziplock bags that measure about 4-5" square. Put your SB's in the bags then put the bags on a big ring, or a big zip tie to keep them together. Makes it easy to file through them to find the one you want, skirts and trailers stay in good shape, and the blades dont all rub together and get all scratched up. Throw a few extra skirts and/or trailers in with them. cheesemaster 1
PAT92B Posted August 16, 2018 Author Posted August 16, 2018 Do you just punch a hole at the corner of the bag for the ring or zip tie. Sounds like a good idea.

You can, the bags are plenty tough enough. But if by chance your wife is in to scrapbooking have her put those cool grommets in them. 👍
Basfis Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 May not be ideal but, I leave one tied on until I a) loose it b) wear it out or c) determine it is cursed. In the event of b or c, it gets tossed into a cup holder for eventual cleaning of the boat. Replacements live in the original war eagle package in a BPS bag or tackle warehouse box. Makes it easier when you only fish mouse or spot remover. 😀 mixermarkb 1
fishinwrench Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Ya know, you could also use a 3-ring binder and pencil bags. Since it's back-to-school shopping time anyway.

Take a razor knife and trim about 3/16" off that plastic tube spacer between the blades (bringing the blades to where they overlap some when held upright). Then grab the hook and wire frame and twist it around some until the head can wobble just a bit. (They'll do that on their own after awhile, but I speed up the process). Those two little tweeks, along with adding a Zoom swimming fluke Jr. for a trailer... really REALLY wake that bait up! cheesemaster, MOsmallies and Basfis 2 1
