Members Wickerdave Posted November 11, 2018 Members Posted November 11, 2018 Hi, We are moving from Oregon to the Bella Vista / Rogers area next spring. I am excited to start fishing on Beaver Lake. I will need a covered slip to keep my 20ft. Alumaweld fishing boat in year round, can you recommend a good marina located close to the best fishing locations. Also, being born and raised in Iowa, I love Walleye fishing as well as Strippers, is there a walleye population in the lake? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 11, 2018 Root Admin Posted November 11, 2018 When exactly are you moving? It looks like you asked the same question back in May. Dan the fisherman 1

Depending on what time of the year it is, is what you’ll catch, and also what area ur fishing at that time and water temp. She’s a tough lake but I love it !!
Quillback Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 There are walleye in the lake for sure and the guys that target them seem to do well. I trailer my boat, but if I was going to get a slip and target walleye and striper, I'd try and get one at Lost Bridge Marina. There's walleye year round on the north end of the lake, and stripers are there year round also, but there are peaks and valleys as far as numbers. If you live in Rogers or Bella Vista it's going to be a 30-45 minute drive to LB Marina. I'm partial to that end of the lake, not as crowded, and certainly not as developed. It does get busy in the summer. If you live in Rogers, Prairie Creek marina is close by - it's a big marina and very busy during the summer, but it's centrally located and gives you access to the river arms or north towards Clifty and that area. Stripers get caught right out in front of the marina in the winter. Probably should also check to see what marinas sell gas in the winter if you plan of fishing during the winter. Dan the fisherman 1
