I haven't been out for over a week, personally, but from what I'm hearing the topwater bite is pretty good right now.

Backs of wide coves for LM, and out around wave breaks and deep docks on the mainlake for fat Kentucky's.

Spook, Chug bug, Buzzbait.  Nobody is talking about the WP....so it's either not producing very well, or it's the best bite going.

Thanks for the info. I'll report how it goes tomorrow.

I fished Sunday in our club championship. It was extremely tough for everyone. The winning sack had only 3 fish for about 10.23. Only one limit brought in that didn’t even make 9 pounds.

I caught mine mine on an a-rig. Shaky head won it. Heard a buzz bait caught some fish too.

Yikes!   Must just be that area of the lake, cuz I ran down and hit a spot from the bank Sunday afternoon (just to see if the Whites were there) and caught 2 keeper LM and 3 shorts in about 20 minutes on a lipless crankbait.

Zeroed on the Whites but I got the impression that the green fish were on a pretty good bite.

I went out for a few hours this morning looking for walleye and had no problem catching bass ... I had cycled through jerkbaits, crankbaits, lipless cranks, and spoons w/o a bite...picked up a 3” Keitech and the bass were just inhaling that thing slow rolled on chunk rock banks.   Did that for about an hour and caught nothing but green fish before I had to head in and assist with dinner prep...

Hi Mike I think I passed you while fishing across from Hawaiian island if that was you in the Crestliner I was in the silver aluminum Ranger. It was a beautiful day out there caught a bunch of bass nothing big biggest was 17" largemouth. Most fish were on a small brown jig and a shaky head tight to steeper banks. Now I'm wishing I would have tried a swim bait.
