what size line works best this time of year

Never fished Taneycomo this early in the year but will be down this week. Not sure what size line to use for jigs with current water clarity , any help would be appreciated . Thanks

When I fished it in the winter I always used 2# line.

5X fluoro tippet with jigs got bit two weeks ago but 4 pound mono would not.

3/32nd oz jigs and heavier - 4 lb

 

1/16th oz jigs and lighter - 2 lb
