I was wondering if anyone knows anything about catfishing at Little Dixie near Columbia like good baits, good parts of the lake etc? Any info is appreciated! Tight Lines!

That place seems to get a lot shore pressure at the easily accessible areas. I have only bass fished there out of a kayak or boat and have never seen someone on shore catch a fish.

I’d recommend bring some boots and getting to the harder to reach areas that don’t get pounded.

I don't usually fish for catfish since it is just not something that I do that often. I have catfished Little Dixie and been successful when I lived in Columbia. I sent you a PM about some things that worked for me.

Back when everybody wasn't fishing all the time, and the few that did weren't very good at it, LD was a dandy bass and bluegill lake.

McCready, by Kingdom city, was even better and it had a fine crappie population.

Haven't fished either in many years, and would be very surprised to see them fish very well nowadays.

LD bass population is still decent. I’ve always done ok there.

I've done well on nice redear sunfish there during the spawn. Bluegill plentiful and some nice size. Catch a lot of small crappie. Large numbers but little size. Would fish it a lot with my daughter. Was close to the house and was always a great go and just catch some fish lake.

McCredie Farm lake has been regulated for bluegill. Must be 9 inches to keep them. Most fish that I have caught there on one trip was 92 using microjigs. Mostly bluegill, black crappie, and bass. Crappie population took a big dive two years ago. Heard that some guys fished it hard for several weeks keeping stringers of crappie. Small lake like that can't take that kind of pressure.

Livie and I fished this lake a lot as well. Enjoyed catching golden shiners as much as the crappie and gills.

I have fished the "Dairy Farm lake".  Never knew about a Turkey farm lake, where's that at?

North east of Columbia. Up route Z towards Centralia and east on St Charles road.
