Members Dirtrider389 Posted March 5, 2019 Members Posted March 5, 2019 Is springfield ever going to get a new ramp?
Dutch Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 I doubt it. I don't think they want anything but canoes and yaks in there.
Bass Yakker Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Dispute between government agencies on whose responsibility it is? I would have to agree with Dutch. I doubt it. https://www.news-leader.com/story/news/local/ozarks/2018/02/07/whats-up-lake-springfields-southwood-boat-ramp/311221002/ Even though I'm a kayaker I would like to see it rebuilt because I know of many people who have a boat setup to go on Lake Springfield and can't.
Flysmallie Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 I had a feeling that this would happen. I still don’t think it will ever be replaced and they never had any intention of replacing it. bassfisher 1
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Even if they do get a ramp it is so overtaken with Kayaks makes it hard to fish if the temp is above 60. Lots of guys are launching some light flat bottoms at the boathouse. There is a little slide there that you can get the job done if you want to put some muscle into it. Its very shallow though
Members Dirtrider389 Posted March 6, 2019 Author Members Posted March 6, 2019 I have a kayak too and have gone with some friends with small boats but so much easier launching both when u dont have to wade in the mud
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 We launched a 12ft flat bottom and didnt have to get wet down there. I just cant fish sitting down in a kayak. I got rid of my Springfield lake boat when the ramp washed out, now i just take the big boat to Bull or Table Rock. I miss those big fish in that lake though.
Dutch Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 I heard that a guy backed a trailer into the water and was ticketed. I don't know if it is a fact, just what I heard. I remember when you could launch and load a bass boat if you only used your trolling motor while on the water, but sadly those days are long gone.

Have kind of lost track of that. I remember that Fellows used to be 40 and I think it still is. Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
Dutch Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 The last I heard was 6 hp. liphunter and bassfisher 2
