Big M 3.16- Not Quite Loose Just Yet

Got on the water this AM at 7:00 and fished until 11.  It was 26 degrees when we launched.  Water temp was 45 degrees pretty much everywhere we went- expected it to be a little warmer.  Had 3 fish by about 9:00 and then nothing.  Sun was out and the lake was slick- you don’t see a tin boat guy asking for more wind often but coulda used it today.  

Saw bait and fish in the mouth of a spawning cove but we were not there until 9:30 and couldn’t get them to bite anything-  tried all the usual suspects with no love.

Our fish came on soft plastics and a jig on the bottom on 15-22 feet of water on main lake chunk rock bank.  

Beautiful morning... love this time of year!

My wife and I fished from about 10 until 4:30. She caught 2 really small ones on the Ned. That was it for us.

I broke it  loose a little early last 4 days have been miserable.

Watching the Classic live, most of them are having a tough day also, flat calm, sunny conditions.

I have been checking in on it between honey do's . Been enjoying it.

Yep, got stuff to do also, but it's the last day of the Classic, can't bring myself to quit watching.

I know the feeling... I keep saying five more minutes. Retirement has undisciplined me!!! lol
