Flyfisher for men Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I'm doing a little planning for a day excursion around June 10th, and might stop here if the water discharge at the dam at Taneycomo prevents wading for trout. What sort of fishing can I expect? I'll be armed with flyrods, spinning tackle, and could even sling some bait.

Flyfisher for men Posted May 7, 2019 Author Posted May 7, 2019 I've thought of that, and it's a possibility. Any insights on Powersite?
snagged in outlet 3 Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I've caught trout down there in the winter.
MoCarp Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 The pothole is a great spot but often flooded out ...I agree hit Taney, with all this rain it will be hard to get to for that kind of fishing.... MONKEYS? what monkeys?
Flyfisher for men Posted May 13, 2019 Author Posted May 13, 2019 This is helpful, but want to know, can it be fished at all in those conditions? It's more of a backup plan in case Taney isn't fishable, and I'm not in any way opposed to fishing with conventional tackle/methods even from the bank.
