Old dog 417 Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I realize this is probably a dumb question but...my Alumacraft deep V is very difficult to enter over the bow. Especially with the trolling motor and graph mounted in the way and that's not to mention my dislike of having the bow sitting on asphalt or rocks. So,... Do any of the accessible ramps still have courtesy docks available? Please don't fall down laughing, hurt yourself, and then blame me! 😉 Thanks in advance, od
olfishead Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I went by the Roark Bluff ramp this morning and I'm pretty sure the corps has moved the courtesy dock into useable position. I know exactly what you mean about the alumacraft boat being hard to get in to from the bow/bank especially with the "extras" in the way. Every time my wife has to "go to the bank" I yearn for my ole bass tracker! Other than that, it's a great boat. Old dog 417 1

Not had a crack at the high water yet. Just will see how it goes. Just happy to go!!! Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
Members ewlech Posted June 5, 2019 Members Posted June 5, 2019 When I was at Crabtree on Sunday the dock was pulled out of the water.
waterpossum Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 The best ramp is Cedar Ridge south. The courtesy dock is usable and the ramp is steep enough to float a boat. Old dog 417 1
