Daryk Campbell Sr Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Now it's time for me to brag a little. I let my son use his new kayak on his first solo float. Now it was only 1/4 to 1/2 Mile. It was also on a creek that had little or no current. I dropped him off made sure he was going to be safe, he broke off on a snag on his second cast. I threw him a Ned rig but he never tied it back on. Mom did not know about this float, until afterward. He did fine. He has recently completed the Lifesaving merit badge, small boat sailing merit badge, Along with the kayaking merit badge at 2 week long camps. I was not worried. I did take the opportunity to try to fish. I got 3 very small green sunfish on a Brown rooster tail.
