Good thing it isn't the next weekend, same as the Branson Firefighter's Benefit tournament. Not that I will be fishing the landing, and below or  anything.

Are you fishing that tournament? I'll be down for that one along with a few buddies and staying in one of Lilleys' 3 bedroom units. I'm having Taneycomo withdrawal and can't wait!

Yup. Won't be down until Friday morning. One buddy is coming with me. My other buddy is bring Dave with him in the evening. Dave's getting home from Africa that morning.

We're in 3 or 4. Greg, Jeremy, John, Frank, and family are in Curtis's old house above Phils. Rumor has it some guy's bringing his almost authintic, semi famous jambalaya for Friday night!

I'm trying to talk my buddy in to taking off Thursday so we can head out that morning. If that doesn't happen, we'll head down Thursday evening after work. Probably not a bad idea anyways as it will give me time to restock the jig supply before we start fishing.

I was on the water when these races where going on.. each heat only last for 15 to 20 minutes or so... and you can navigate through the course when they are not racing. Was fun to watch, and did not affect getting to where I wanted to go, unless you want to fish around the docks or the fish house restaurant, it's on the course.  

Also, at the end of the day Sunday,  I was motoring back , and just past the Branson bridge I had to slow down for a HUGE Seaplane taking off from in front of the landing, not kidding, I had to rub my eyes, so make sure what I was seeing. Someone said it was Johnny Morris?

I was fishing around the fish house one day and a homeade plane landed right there in front of me.  It looked like something you would see on Mad Max.  totally open cockpit, you could see the controls and everything. The guy had an old school flight looking helmet with goggles
