Bushbeater Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 I stumbled upon an interesting collection of photos hosted by the Missouri State Library. Here are a couple of samples. One is Hwy 54 over LOZ in 1953 drought and the other is Bennettt, I'm not sure of the date. http://cdm16795.contentdm.oclc.org/cdm/search/collection/p16795coll24 nomolites, bfishn, Greasy B and 3 others 6
laker67 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 I have seen some of these older photos of Brice Mill. Judging by the car fording the creek, it has to be around 1930's or so. One of the other photos i saw had a model t ford truck crossing the creek. I was told that later there was a bridge spanning what is now the high bank hole. Note the 2 pilings still there.
Bushbeater Posted February 1, 2020 Author Posted February 1, 2020 The longer bridge in this photo has been replaced twice since this pic from 1964. The newest replacement I believe cost 12 million. The short creek bridge was about a quarter mile up the same road. laker67 1
