hillbillyflyshack Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 My partner and I got so lucky that we finished second in the tournament. We fished from Fall Creek to the bridges picking up fish all the way but most were just stockers however once in awhile we would get a decent one. With about 10 minutes left my partner caught a 3 1/2 lber and on my last cast. We ended up with just over 10lbs and were overjoyed as we were eating it was still hard to believe we got so lucky. Congratulations to the guys that won and kudos to the Lilleys and their staff for putting on such a great outting. Hope to do even better next year. laker67, duckydoty, Seth and 3 others 6
Seth Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 Good job! It was a tough day for us weight wise. Numbers were great. Not sure how many we boated, but it was a bunch. We'd caught quite a few 1-2.5# pound fish between Fall Creek and Cooper Creek the previous two days so I was feeling pretty confident. Boy was I wrong! Everything we weighed was 13-15oz. I was surprised nobody brought in a brown as our boat and several others I spoke too caught several short of the 20" mark. laker67, Johnsfolly and snagged in outlet 3 3
hillbillyflyshack Posted February 24, 2020 Author Posted February 24, 2020 My partner caught a 24 inch rainbow on friday and I thought here we go again catching the big one the day before but it worked out ok for us as we ended up catching some decent fish during the day and with about 10 minutes left he got a 3 1/2 pound rainbow to put us over the hump wow were we lucky. Beautiful day overall and the meal was good too.
