Open or Closed

So the MDC website says the BSSP is closed.  However you go on the trout cam and see people fishing.  

 

So is it closed (and people walking in) or is it open and you can buy a trout tag but no camping??

Disregard, found my own answer.  Just wish I could get away to take advantage of the free fishing!!

I’ve heard that it is getting to be pretty well fished out, but I haven’t been and can’t confirm.

If they have as much winter kill as RRSP and only stocked for one month after C&R, I can't imagine there are any easy fish left. Always a few that hug the bottom and eat at night that survive.

NoLuck is still sitting safe in his house. Still not laid-off yet, but on stand-by not getting paid unless I use my PTO.  So I’m trying to save my pennies. 

 

According to FB , which I don’t have, supposedly everyone and their brother and sister and uncle and their kids all were down there fishing with bait everywhere. They supposedly cleaned out the stream of all the fish. 

 

With no stocking going on and people still keeping fish, it won’t be long before the park will stay empty for a while. Which may be exactly how they wanted it to be. More fish equal more people. So more chance of spreading the crud that’s infecting people.  

 

Ill just sit sit and wait till it’s a little safer to be out and about. Not traveling from areas with higher infection counts to areas with low counts is just common sense. Unless you can travel with zero impact with enough food and supplies to distance yourself for a couple weeks, I think you’re better off just staying home. If not for yourself, do it for others safety.

Park is dead didn’t see any Trout caught.

I’m thinking they are going to replace the Bridge on the highway.

Well there is a sign on the highway saying it will be closed April 19.
