Boobie Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 Coming down with a buddy from high school. Just wondering?? Launching out of ruark and have raingear ready!!
Dutch Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 The COE has everything open. Β I havenβt been to Rouark but the courtesy Β docks where I have been were in and at a good level. Β Bass fishing has also been good.
Members Mike3004 Posted May 25, 2020 Members Posted May 25, 2020 We were on the water yesterday from Stockton State Park to Dam. Everything appeared open although some camp sites are now water covered. We could see about 10 feet deep and our bass (one largemouth and 5 small mouth) in 3 hours of fishing came from water over 10 feet deep fishing with Missouri Craw jig on the bottom. Great day to be on Lake Stockton after 30 years since I was last there. Best 2 hour trip from LOZ I ever made and will not hesitate to make it again. Boat traffic compared to LOZ made fishing manageable and this fishery is just as good as any in the state. Β
Rootman Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 Put in at Roark Saturday afternoon and the water was clear, had about 6ft visibility but the water was about 5 ft higher than it was when I was there 2 weeks ago. Β Water was even clearer up above mutton creek. Β Water temp was 70 when I put in. Β Had little luck catching anything, I fished 3 to 8 pm. Β
MrGiggles Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 The lake really got pounded with rain earlier today. Lots of trash and dirty water by the dam. Was actually clearer further down by Hawker. All I caught was a couple bass. Tough. Storms were gone by 5PM and the water was real slick, 70 degrees. Only one other rig at Crabtree. A welcome surprise. -Austin

But I do have concerns about living on the south pole. That analogy just won't hunt... Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
