Members Lunker Lane Posted May 27, 2020 Members Posted May 27, 2020 Big Indian has always looked great IMO from the water it looks nice, wide and steep and has quite a bit of traffic. I live up in Springfield so never made the drive. I'll be in the Baxter area 5th-12th Ol beat up "project" Triton boat say hello. I can always use help with how to catch em. With the weather clearing up this weekend and all the water is it possible the red fin will still be working? I have a bunch of nephews coming to fish and I'm felling the pressure. Seems to me the more water the more i struggle. Thanks for Any Advice and Tight Lines!
Bill Babler Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Bobby that is the H hwy ramp off 39 S. of Shell Knob. Trouble is the road going into the ramp gets flooded. I'm going over right now to check it and Cow Creek. Might launch at one or the other in the morning and don't want to take the boat and have to back the trailer a 1/2 mile if its closed. bobby b., magicwormman and dtrs5kprs 3 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Bill Babler Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Just checked the H hwy. launch off 39 hwy toward Shell Knob. Dock in place and launching off the parking lot. Lower road is OK. Max slots is 16 truck trailer rigs It is pretty tight at that launch faculty and really possible to get a ding on either the truck or trailer. Launch and leave your rig at your own risk. After seeing whats coming I'm sure it will go over the road. It was only several inches from the bottom of the road at 930.3 At 931 it would be unusable. Shell Knob got an inch this afternoon and it looks like Bull Shoals is just getting pummeled. Looking out the front of the Lodge facing East I can see South to North and East. It is solid Black/Purple in the area of Lead Hill, Diamond City, it just looks horrible. magicwormman and dtrs5kprs 2 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

Skeeter, Great to hear from... you helped my brother and I out a couple of years ago when we had boat issues and gave us a ride all the way back to Aunt's Creek area. We actually have rented a house right across from the marina and have rented a slip from the marina for the week. So, I will definitely consider giving them a call. Hey Stricker, Nice to hear from you also. Glad to hear you are coming back down. If you're renting a place up the hill at the new Little Indian those are great looking places and hope you enjoy your time despite the high water. I'll bet one of the Baxter Marina-folks will help you get launched somehow, someway.

Port of Kimberling ramp was closed. Yes, you would have to back out a long ways and have to be very careful doing it with your lower unit tilted-up due to a now-submerged steel cable strung across the lower edge of the normal water-level parking lot. And then there are the dock cables to beware of as you make your way out beyond the back-side of the Marina docks to open water. That's the reason I suggested to Stricker9 to only use the trolling motor if possible. bobby b. and dtrs5kprs 2
