Goggle-Eyed Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Has anyone been up above Lead Mine this year? Trying to figure out if I can get my Jet Jon through there, the past two years it has been choked up about a mile above the ramp. Thanks, Joe Greenyak 1
oneshot Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Haven’t been but knowing that area I would say it hasn’t changed. Know guys that have sworn off that stretch because of that. oneshot Greenyak 1

I haven't heard if any of that was ever removed. Greenyak 1
Goggle-Eyed Posted June 8, 2020 Author Posted June 8, 2020 Yep that's the one, on the left as you were headed up stream. The right hand path has been clogged for several years. I don't have a saw big enough to do any good on that big one! Greenyak 1

fishinwrench Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Are you talking about the little stretch between the 2 Leadmine accesses ? BTW @Goggle eyed .....where have YOU been?
Goggle-Eyed Posted June 9, 2020 Author Posted June 9, 2020 Wrench - it was the choked up area above the boat ramp. I think it is the shoal/island below "turner bluff". Been living in the Netherlands for work, haven't been on the dang river in almost two years. Finally back in the US for the summer thanks to the Corona. snagged in outlet 3 and fishinwrench 2
Members Greenyak Posted June 10, 2020 Members Posted June 10, 2020 I'm from St. Joe and I love to go down and fish the clear water streams, unfortunately I haven't landed a google-eye in years. Does anyone target them or know some tips I could use to land some of them? Thanks

Last time I ran up from Leadmine ramp I was able to walk it through on the left (river-right) to fish the bluff hole. The ginormous leaning sycamore on river left just below the island was still standing. Did it finally go over? Glad to hear that you're back home. 👍
