I have been going to Pomme de Terre Lake fishing for Channel Cats and going to Niangua River for Suckers.

Woman told me her brother was catching Channel Cats out of the Niangua River.

So thinking go where I have been fishing on the Niangua River. Have two Rods rigged for Suckers and another one rigged for Channel Catfish.

I have caught a few Catfish out of the river but never seriously fished for them. I would rather have Suckers but.

The deep slow hole immediately above Prosperine access has a few channel cat swimming in it.    And I would expect the hole by the Leadmine ramp to have some as well.

I caught a 5-6lb. flathead a few years ago in the riffle at Mountain creek campground.  I thought it was a world record Hellbender at first.

Well went to Lead Mine had two Lines out for Suckers and one for Catfish.

Caught a Hog Molly, it came off about half way up the bank. It stayed there so I climbed down and got it. Not a real good idea.

Caught a Redhorse. Thought great got enough for me a meal. Put it in my Basket. Later noticed the Basket was upside down and Lid was open. Got it up there the Redhorse was gone. Turned the Hog Molly lose.

Didn't get a Catfish nibble.

Dad has caught a few catfish out of the niangua above Bennett where that big rock is.  Crappie as well. If you get down by tunnel dam there are a lot of catfish and other big species.

If I drive to Tunnel Dam might as well drive to Pomme de Terre.
