I'm looking to upgrade my dogsled! Ok, not funny! I am looking to upgrade my boat. I currently have a 2002 Lund Rebel with a 40 hp Yamaha. I'm retired now and fish quite a bit so i would like to end my fishing years in a better boat and a little more hp. I'm not married to a Lund but kinda prefer one. I really like the Lund Impact 1775. In 2017, i think, they built the back into 2 seats that fold down into a nice deck for a co angler. I bass fish more now than ever. My question to you guys is where to look? I've tried Boattrader and some other web sites. Not much there. Any advice is well appreciated. Stay warm boys!  Thanks.

I'd recommend Walleye Central Classifieds for what you are looking for. I've had good success there but you may need to

travel a few hours to adjoining states. Most will send you additional pics that aren't posted to help with your decision.

Good luck!

You might try searchtempest.com.  I've used it to look at specific brands of boats.  You indicate the distance you are willing to travel and then check each of the cities it lists in its results.

I've been on the same quest-- I want a walleye boat, but a smaller one than you're after.  What I'm finding now is that they are not many of 'em available. Part of that is seasonal, and part of it is the boom in folks buying boats because of the pandemic. Marine companies are doing a land-office business.

Good luck.

thanks boys! I will try these websites and look at that boat Gumboot. I agree KJackson that this is a bad time to be looking for a quality used boat. Lots of people decided to quarantine on a boat or in an RV i guess. I was told by somebody to wait a couple of years and all these people that bought boats will decide to sell because its not what they thought it was, or dont use it enough. But i really dont want to wait. Once again, i sincerely appreciate your input.

In order to avoid work or doing anything useful, I did a quick search on Craigslist to see if there have been major changes since yesterday. I hit the Des Moines list and then moved into Wisconsin... there are a few deep-vee hulls and while I didn't see any 1775 Impacts, I did see a few used (like two or three) boats of similar size that weren't Lunds. I looked at Appleton, Green Bay and LaCrosse.

I've owned three Lunds and love the way they are designed. However, in recent years, there has been a LOT of trouble with the transoms.  A friend had to have his redone under warranty, and he lost the use of his boat for something like six months.  And now he has taken it back to Lund for more repairs. Don't know what the latest issue is, but it makes Crestliner and Alumacraft look good.

Craigslist is more or less a ghost town since they started charging for ads.

Facebook is where it's at now, despite how awful it is. Change your location to Minneapolis and have at it.

Much like how Tracker and Lowe are king in this area because they are made here, Lunds are made in Minnesota and have a much higher market share up there.

I have a Rebel XS 1650 Lund. Great boat. I had an Alumacraft Navigator 1650 tiller steer. Great boat. After my shoulder surgery, my wife was determined to get me out of a tiller steer. I now wish I had bought an Impact instead of the Rebel, but that is spilt milk. Do not discount the Alumacraft or Crestliner boats. Walleye Central has extensive listings.
