Just curious so I measured the bed... it measures 8 1/2 feet!

I've never seen one of those that I know of, all the pickups I've owned or used were either ~8' (+ 1"?) or too short to be of any good. Learn new stuff even at my age.

When I bought my shortbed/sportside Z71 I feared that I would regret it and miss the full size bed.   Never have.  I've always been able to haul everything I've ever needed to, the truck turns on a dime and is a beast off-road.   And the most important benefit to owning a sportside/shortbed is that I don't get a call everytime one of my friends decides to move.  😅👍

For a brief period I had an 05 Chevy shortbed. Even with a worn out V6 it was really fun to drive. Felt like a go cart compared to the extended cabs I’ve been driving for years.
