Rats !  I've been tying mine with only 8 body segments.  No wonder I always struggle at Crane.  And I thought it was my lack of stealth.

Those tails are long enough to use for tippet material.    

If the trout are on those, and they refuse your fly......it ain't because your 5-6x tippet spooked them.
