Members segravestodd Posted October 20, 2021 Members Posted October 20, 2021 I'm fishing a kayak tournament this weekend and am wondering if there's any areas to launch around Long Shoal, State Park, or Sterett Creek that aren't the major boat ramps. I've looked at Google Maps and have seen a couple of spots that look like they might be basic boat ramps/launches, but it's hard to tell if they're public or private. Any help would be appreciated.
Dutch Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Generally speaking COE lakes don’t have private launch ramps.
BilletHead Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Just like Dutch said but there are many roads that dead end at the water edges. Just continue to study your google maps. You may have to drive through little housing areas in a few of them but they are there. Lvn2Fish Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 All of those areas you mentioned have plenty of room for you to drop your boat in and stay out of the way . Like billet said study goggle earth . A lot of the creek arms have unknown access points .
fshndoug Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 You must have a 150 hp motor on your yak .It is a long ways to Sterett from Long Shoals.
