ColdWaterFshr Posted November 25, 2021 Posted November 25, 2021 This hit too close to home. And the saddest funeral I've ever attended. https://www.kmov.com/news/hundreds-mourn-at-ballwin-crash-site-where-three-teens-were-killed-sunday-morning/article_fca5f6ac-45c2-11ec-ab54-dfbcb88db0e6.html About a mile and half from my doorstep. Much closer for even @Mitch f My kids knew most of the kids, had classes with them. 15 and 16 year olds with their whole life ahead of them. I coached for years one of the deceased's siblings, we knew one of the families fairly well, and they are good people. Separately, my wife used to work daily side by side with the mother of the driver of the car. He was her only child. Mistakes were made all around and that is not for us to judge. A coin toss and it could've just as easily been one of my 3 kids caught up in that. My worst fear. Count your blessings. Be kind. Tomorrow's not promised. All of those old cliches that sound so hollow and yet are so true when you get smacked in the face with them. Sorry for my mean-spirited garbage through all the political stuff, . . . .to all of you. I'm working on it. Happy Thanksgiving to all of my OAF friends. We have a lot to be thankful for. nomolites, tho1mas, fishinwrench and 2 others 4 1
