snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 We’ve known about that plan for a while now. I thought @Brian Shafferhad some inside info he heard or something. His post makes it sound like they have their hand on the spigot right now. I wish he would clarify. netboy 1
Brian K. Shaffer Posted January 17, 2022 Author Posted January 17, 2022 There is nothing to clarify here. My post is simply about the upcoming flow increase. Many people are not aware of this - perhaps it is not news to you. Some are reading this whole website for the first time - right now today. Reading your words and mine. Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 17, 2022 Root Admin Posted January 17, 2022 Well Brian... you use to call and talk to one of the guys in the powerhouse about generation. I thought it was cool. Pete (snagged in outlet 3) is a long time forum guy who fishes here a lot. May be he heard of your special relationship. Whatever happen to that guy? Did they change their number? snagged in outlet 3 1
netboy Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 I am still very confused as to when this Big Load of water is coming down the river. Beaver, Table Rock. Taney and Bull Shoals are all within power pool. I know if there is a big rain event, they will release water, but that is always what they do. Maybe something else coming??? Please let us know so we can plan for this event. snagged in outlet 3 1
Brian K. Shaffer Posted January 18, 2022 Author Posted January 18, 2022 The numbers are still the same to call inside - but one has to have a really good reason, so I seldom use it. The last time I talked to one of the operators, someone was stuck on the island across from Trophy Run. Devan S. Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Do they shut the water down if someone is stuck? I've always pondered how it works....although I would assume Taney is a bit different but Beaver scares me....I've come close to getting stuck twice. Not sure what I would do when it happens since nobody is ever around.....guess call 911.

Not sure how it got in the water.

They used to back in the 80's and some in the 90's. Not sure what changed. They will shut it down in someone is in trouble. Someone on an island that's dry - I'm not sure if that's a good enough reason. Someone in the water, yes. magicwormman 1
