Flyfisher for men Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 I've been trying to locate additional waters near Bennett Spring and Lebanon (we'll be at there in June), but haven't found much other than Ha Ha Tonka, and Pomme de Terre, and the Gasconade. Any other waters in the area that I've missed? I shuold mention one consideration: My Father is 91, but very spry (still golfs every day). We'll fish the park some, but since he isn't much of a trout fisherman, we'll probably focus a lot of attention on smallies and goggle-eye in the Niangua. We're camping on one of the parks along the river with plenty of shoreline.
fishinwrench Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 The Osage fork is nearby, and arguably fishes better than anything you've mentioned for smallies and Google eye. Seth and tjm 2
tjm Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 https://mdcgis.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=aa720aaaf06b49269b355b5a6e049d28 I think I'd hit the 4 or 5 MDC access points on the Osage Fork ~6-15 miles from Lebanon. But the interactive map I linked will let you search and zoom in and then you can google any places you see of interest. Edit- I typed this and clicked post Monday, but for what ever reason it didn't post, so one more try..
Flyfisher for men Posted February 23, 2022 Author Posted February 23, 2022 Thanks, guys. That's good information.
