I haven't fished Bryant in many years, but I've fished the North Fork in recent years and caught several smallmouth of 18-19 inches. No reason there wouldn't be fish that size in Bryant as well. ColdWaterFshr Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 There are some piggy smallmouth even in the trout water of NF, but also above. Bryant Creek, if I lived 2 hours closer . . . would warrant much closer inspection. I've only fished it a couple times. To call it a "Creek" is stretching the definition. Its big. 43 miles of it too. The size of that whole watershed (of both Bryant and the NFOW) could keep a motivated full-time fisherman busy for quite a while. Ik314 1

I floated the trout section of the North Fork a few summers ago, a couple years after the huge flood that went through. I was with several other guys who were fly fishing for trout, but I wanted to see if I could catch any smallmouth. They must not have been biting that day...I caught a few little largemouth, but that was it. The other guys didn't catch much either, though. trythisonemv 1
jdmidwest Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 I still want to try it, no matter how everyone seems to put it down. Looks like a good fishery. BilletHead 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
