Not too good for me today, caught 10, one nice spotted bass, 2-2.5 lbs. and the rest were in the 10-14" range.  One on a Keitech, the rest on the Ned rig.  Smallmouth were tight lipped today, water temp was 48, maybe the cool down put them off, well at least off my stuff.

A few stripers were rolling around early in front of the ramp, I couldn't get any of them interested either.

Hey, you were out, and I am betting you are in the top percentage of catchers on OAF today. Definitely beat Pat and me.

I fished yesterday with a buddy and it was awful. Fished up in Indian and back down to starkey. Fished 5 hours and caught one small Kentucky. Was going for smallmouth as well. Used Ned rigs, crankbaits, jerkbaits, swim baits etc. Ive been fishing all my life but usually not on big water like beaver. We bought a place around point 5 and I’m trying to sharpen my skills, but it’s tough out there!

There's a great bluff to fish to the north east of point 5.  the point there splits North Clifty/Big Clifty.  I fish from the point south on the Big Clifty side.  there's a bunch of underwater trees off that bluff.  Usually some bass around those trees, fish a Ned, Jig, or Keitech and work them down the steep bank and through the trees - you'll get hung up some, but the bass are there.  Stripers show up there, usually in May into June.  Look for top water activity and toss a spook at them.  It's a great place to fish, I don't fish it much as it's a long haul from Indian.
