netboy Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 I met a friend at Ackerman access this morning and we hiked upstream a bit to get away from the crowd. Ruby midges under an indicator worked well until it warmed up a bit and then the caddis started coming up. My friend was using tandem soft hackles and I was switching between a green crackleback and a foam elk hair caddis dry. We each caught around 30 and missed a bunch more. We had lots of 16-18" rainbows along with this fat 20" cutthroat I caught. Glad to see some low water and caddis hatching. nomolites, Quillback, Greasy B and 4 others 5 2
Greasy B Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 I appreciate your reports, not as good as being there but it helps. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 17, 2022 Root Admin Posted April 17, 2022 Oh my gosh... they've cut the water back now on both dams, right? Our fish are gorging themselves with this high water. It's crazy how fat they are.
