Members Jerkbait1
Did some fishing last Wednesday and Thursday with 3 others. Fish biting pretty good caught some nice bows with my partner hooking a fat 19 incher. On Thursday RV’s and Camping trailers moved in along with campers. All was ok except parking your vehicle and trailer tough especially if you arrived later in the day. jdmidwest
They usually stock it pretty good for the holiday. More fish in the river makes the others hungry and bite better. I am heading down next Sunday for a Mon-Tues jet boat run. snagged in outlet 3 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Members Jerkbait1
They used a boat to stock from turner down below whiten. Fish we caught did not look like stockers lots of color healthy and good size
jdmidwest
I figured you were at Whitten, only place with a camper mess. I am really surprised the let them in there, it really jacks up the only boat ramp on the river. The only time I see Turners Mill, it's from the water. I never drive down to that access any more. Members Jerkbait1
Fished river past two days. River pretty low hard to navigate with jet but managed. Fish bite slow but steady caught good number of trout and a few decent size. Had river almost to ourselves except few kayaks and one other boat. Weather nice and wildlife out and about. Parking lot at whiten has water flowing thru it. Was told beaver dam on a spring in area diverted water to parking area kind of a mess.

Whitten has always been high and dry unless the water is up. There is the little branch you cross between the road to the upper camp and the river access. But its always dry. Back in July, each parking site had a burn pit on it. We were there after the 4th and the lifer campers had left it a mess. But it was dry. Except for the jackleg pulling a tube in the boat hole in front of ramp. Ik314 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. jdmidwest
Locals probably started emptying out holding tanks up hill when they pull the campers out. It has been quite a show the last few years at that ramp. I miss the old channel around Hall's Bay shoal. Putting in at Riverton is easier.
