kjackson Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 The iBall backup camera makes hooking up a trailer easy...assuming you don't miss the routine, stop, get out, estimate how much more you need to back up to finally get close enough to hitch up your water ride. Granted, the iBall isn't as sweet as the rear-view camera in my new 4Runner, but then again, me backing the old Tundra needed all the help I could get. Basically, this is a three-part system: the power cord for charging the camera (duh), the camera with the magnetic base that can tell you how far you're out of line, and the inside viewer. The view screen is powered by the cigarette lighter, and the camera is charged before you leave in the morning. It's a sweet setup that doesn't require you to fork out $40K for a new rig. Amazon has these listed at $200 with knockoffs listed something less. I'd like $75 TYD. snagged in outlet 3 1
jdmidwest Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Where are you going to find a new rig for 40k, certainly nothing that will pull more than a jetski on an aluminum trailer. The cameras do make it easy to get it on the ball. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
grizwilson Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 If I did not already have one would be all over it. Mine works great, I have it in the back window of my 5th wheel so I can watch my boat when double pulling. Had one ten years. I am tempted to buy for its actual purpose. “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
