Everything is temporary! Keep that in mind. I have not been out much this year either, but plan to hunt allot this fall, and there is a fall fishing trip on the Calendar. I hope all works out well for Y’all and you get out more in the future.

Last week I got caught in a root just as I was leaving the water (one more cast) and I decided to reel down to shake it loose. When it came off my rod tip was dangling there as well.

One of my buddies used to do that trick where you grab the line and send the rod/reel down to dislodge a hung-up lure.      It's pretty clever when it works, but he sent a pretty expensive rig down to dislodge a jerkbait.....and the rod tip hung a treble hook.   

We fought it for a good 30 minutes, then finally he ran out of patience and gave the line a Hail Mary pull......Snap!      Gone!   😂
