kjackson Posted November 12, 2022 Author Posted November 12, 2022 That would be great...except the site says it's no longer available. There probably are some out there or something similar. The guy still has to have the "can't get it started after it died" problem fixed first, though. The boat itself is a 16, vee-hull Lowe/Sea Nymph that would work well, not as big as I would want if I had better parking options at our place in town, but it would work, and it's small enough I can manhandle it around to get it in the driveway. And the condition of the boat and outboard look like it's never been used. I don't think I've seen a cleaner used motor. grizwilson 1
fishinwrench Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 I have a prestine 30 Evinrude, and will have a good 40 Evinrude ready in the Spring if you're wanting a little more HP. Not sure what the boat is rated for, but I'd make a trade for the 25. CMC has bolt-on tilt units but they are pricey and kinda heavy/overbuilt. grizwilson 1
kjackson Posted November 13, 2022 Author Posted November 13, 2022 OK, that sounds good. I haven't seen the plate on the boat, but the owner said it has a 40hp limitation. The 30 sounds like a winner as I'm happy with the 80% rule. I am waiting for his response about whether he's checked into why the 25 died and would not restart. As he put the boat on the trailer up on one of the side rails, I was reluctant to get into it to look at things. I was amazed at how clean and shiny it was under the cowling when I popped it open. I looked a little bit for an inline fuse, but most of the wiring was buried in a side locker.
kjackson Posted November 16, 2022 Author Posted November 16, 2022 And,,,the guy decided t keep the boat. Daryk Campbell Sr and grizwilson 1 1
