We’ll be making a trip to Table Rock in mid November. We were hoping to get some tips for fishing the long creek area since we’ve never been this time of year.

Last year, about mid-November is when the BassPro million dollar tourney was held.  I watched some of the coverage and most of the people I saw that were doing well were fishing deep water in big coves.  Primarily using FFS, locating fish, and throwing Keitech type swimbaits or spoons at them.  I fished that time of year also and was catching some up the White river deep on swimbaits and drop shots.  Deep as in 30-50 FOW.

I don't fish Long Creek so I don't know if that will apply up there.  I like to start fishing Ned rigs about mid-November, that is another option if you like to fish them.

Pete Wenners puts out some excellent video reports, I'd watch some of those when the time gets near.

Quill  hit it really close. FFS and “GOOD” 2D will get you bit.

Fish migrate with Shad into the big creek guts. Long Creek can be good, but close by are Beardsley, Clevenger Branch, Persimmon Hollow and Powerline Cove.

Top locations for fish migrating into Winter patterns. Usually last Oct. first Nov.

There can also be a very good shallow cranking bite with a RK Crawler, Wiggle Wart.

You can target deep fish with a jigging spoon 1/2 to 3/4 ox. A drop shot, or a Dimiki rig. If you see some fish up in the water column or are very patient, like Quillback said a small swim bait on a 1/4 or 3/8 oz head at times Is the ticket.

As has been mentioned, keep close tabs on Pete Wenners video reports and peek here.

With the water levels we have this may be the best Winter deep bite we have had in several years.

Good Luck
