Is that wading water in that area or just a boat launch?

Lots of wading water. It doesn't look like it, but you can wade way out. If you are willing to walk a bit there is a gravel bar creating a bottleneck.  @ollie can fill you in better on this tjm.

Give me a text before you come up this way for Hickory. I can save you time on that one. And yes, BH beat me to it! I was referencing Spring river. Although Elk and Neosho experience the same white bass run. Just not in the same proportions.

I tried to send a PM and it says you cannot receive messages.

Box might be full, I'll have to check on that. Did you make it up to Hickory?

The Sunday after Thanksgiving me and some others always meet up at Capps and fish. You are more than welcome to come down for that as well.

Thanks, ollie. I will plan on it.

So, I managed to find Capp's. There was a road closed along the route 'maps' chose, so I detoured, but managed to get to a parking lot at a bridge and explore up and down stream. Such a beautiful stream. I fished against banks, riffles and at the head and foot of a couple pools upstream. Had one fish on, but did not have a good set, so he was gone. Downstream there were tons of fish podded up, but midday and they weren't having any. Further down there is a beautiful run into a pool. Time to get home to let my pup out for a pee, so I picked up a bunch of trash in the lot and headed back to 60 a different way.

Oh ya--I drove through NEosho on the way back and stopped at a place called Morse Park to have a look. I did not take time to fish, but certainly will another time. Need to learn that water as well.

A few pics of Capp's.
