Members SupremeJCK
Got down Thursday night right before sun down and noticed the water color. When was the last time the dam area was this dingy green? Friday night- Went out from 730-10. Started off on docks but that was not working. Switched to secondary points around the house and picked up 3-4 keeper LM with a couple shorts mixed in. All fish were caught around 5-10' on a Nutech Jig. Saturday morning- Went out from 615-2. Started off throwing topwater on main lake and secondary points. Saw a few chasing here and there but that was about it. After 2 hours of that I started going down the bank with a natural colored Chad Shad. No strikes or followers after an hour or so. Switched to a bone/yellowish color and started getting hit but Alot of short strikes. After a while around noon I Caught a decent 18" LM off a shallow tree. Then around 130 I pulled into the very back of a pocket where there is shelf rock. Saw a flash come out and hit the bait twice. Thought I had her pinned but she only had the back hook. She was head shaking below the surface and then jumped out of the water 10' infront of me and spit the bait. Got a good look at her and she was by far going to be my PB. I felt sick to my stomach. Saturday Night- Went out from 730-10. About the same as Friday night. Caught a few on the Nutech and Uncle caught a nice LM on a brown finesse worm right up in the flooded bushes. My brother and I will give it another go in a couple weeks when we come down to fish the Saturday nighter Moonshine derby and the Strike King Big Bass Sunday out of KC Marina.
