Will Heavier Line Work?

Thinking of fishing the river by the Park. 

Seen there is a bunch of moss by the bank.

I'm thinking 4 pound test won't work should 6 pound test be heavy enough to pull fish out of there?

Well Moss isn't here but still using 6 pound test.

Bunch of Coon Tail. Caught couple messes. That was sure fun. 

Asked a Guy what he was fishing for? He said Carp. I think he was funning me because I've never seen a Carp caught there. Couple guys were Catfishing one time all they was catching was Trout and no one had a Trout Permit.
