Boat launches at Baptist are done

The boys have finished the boat launch at Baptist Camp. They removed the Fishing pier and sloped the bank for private boats to launch. The Outfitter launch is just upstream. Plenty of folks enjoying the Current river today.

Ugly.  Wish they hadn't done this.  Who did this, the NPS?  And yeah, their last "improvement" a few years ago was a disaster as soon as that first flood hit it.

Also - the carnage at the top of the Baptist hill is pretty ugly.  Was that just to run utilities to the new house up there?

Yep NPS did the access. The guy who bought the property at the top of the hill  had it cleared for electric lines.

I laughed at the acres he bought.  Most of them were vertical hill and bluff.  Sucker.....

The last place I want to be is where everyone else swarms to a public place...
