Sandy You landed some really nice rainbows and that one nice brown that flipped and flapped and escaped before I got turned around to take a picture. Also didnt help that PETA was there foul hooking all the browns and scaring them away while protesting your photo op 😂 laker67 1

laker67 Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 @trythisonemv I had those comments coming, Alex. I know better than to go to shore for a photo op. The difference between him and I is that if I had seen someone accidentally let a fish fall, I would have compassion and keep my comments to myself. I watched a young boy drop a very nice fish last year--several times, on the rocks. While I cringed each time it happened, the boy's father was so proud and insisted on that photo, later turning the fish loose. There is plenty of time for lessons. Perhaps if we show good sportsmanship, it will rub off on the next generation. When we observe someone who doesn't know better or shows poor judgement, we just need to show temperance in our reproach. I also let a couple fish flop off with my fly. My boga was broke, and I hate netting them if I don't have to. Even those of us who had excellent teachers make mistakes trythisonemv 1

The guy just wouldn't let up as we watched him foul hook so many fish the hypocrisy was too much 😂. Also coupled with the fact that he walked all across the outlet and back twice with no regard to any of the people fishing lead me towards his nick name . You are more patient and understanding than i. Hope to be so gracious someday. 😉 laker67 1
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 11, 2023 Author Root Admin Posted October 11, 2023 You know when you walk across the outlet, you're "kicking" up bugs for the guys downstream. Maybe he was trying to kick for himself. trythisonemv 1
