Another trip to Montauk is on the books. The river was low and crowded, but the  fishing was pretty decent till 8:30 or so Friday & Saturday. Had to run back North to Salem for a bike inner tube  on Friday and we stopped for lunch at JB Malone’s Bar & Grill west of the Walmart on 72. We will be back. Loop 4 & 5 construction is creeping along. There are no pads poured in Loop 5 but it looks like it will be full hookup RV sites. I don’t think it will be ready by March 1 but that is the plan.

Missed ya.  Was up yesterday.  Fished the fly area from the spring to the half way point by lake road and the hatchery run outfall stream.  Pretty slow, only bites on Prince Bead heads with some red or flash in them.  Low and clear.  Had the upper end to myself from lunch till about 2:30.

Never made it past the hatchery road in the park, did not venture down any.  Just a day trip, fishing buddy had the brown bottle flu.

Sorry we missed you. I just fished a couple spots on the river in the mornings, then left for breakfast when the 9-5 anglers started walking in.
